Texas Jumpers Say Goodbye to Bob Hunter

Rick Poplinger

On December 1, the Texas skydiving community said goodbye to Bob Hunter, D-15030, who passed away of natural causes in October. Hunter, a USPA Tandem Instructor who had made more than 8,000 jumps, was an integral part of the Texas skydiving community. Twenty of Hunter’s friends gathered at Skydive Spaceland–Houston in Rosharon, Texas, and built a 20-way Texas Star formation in his honor. Following the formation’s completion, they released Hunter’s ashes for all on the ground to see.
