On August 10, Mid-Atlantic Regional Director Chris Wagner presented Jim Burriss, D-9540, with the USPA Regional Achievement Award. Burriss, a longtime USPA member, has operated the Flying Tiger Sport Parachute Center in Anderson, South Carolina, since 1986. The citation on Burriss’ award reads, “For more than 40 years of dedication to skydivers in the Mid-Atlantic region as an instructor, pilot, rigger, Safety & Training Advisor and mentor, always maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism and welcoming countless people into the sport.”
