Skydive Danielson Encourages CF Jumpers

USPA Staff

Skydive Danielson in Connecticut has been growing quickly since its purchase by Robert and Laura Morris in 2013. The drop zone, which flies a Grand Caravan, is also becoming a New England hub for canopy formation skydiving. The DZ has its own homegrown team, New England Wrapture; brings in world-class CF organizers; and encourages jumpers of all levels to participate in their first stacks and earn their 4-Stack Awards.

The weekend of June 1-3, the drop zone hosted the first New England CF Introductory Camp. Participants traveled from all over the region and as far as Maine and Canada to attend. On Friday evening, the organizers held a safety briefing, which jumpers of all experience levels attended. Over the rest of the weekend, challenging weather limited the number of CF jumps to five, but many talented newer jumpers still earned their 4-Stack Awards.

In addition to competing at the USPA Nationals, New England Wrapture will be traveling to various area drop zones throughout the season to help develop safe, confident canopy pilots and to spread CF in New England.
