NAA Updates FAI Sporting License Process

USPA Staff

The National Aeronautic Association updated its process for issuing Fédération Aéronautique Internationale Sporting Licenses, which anyone participating in an FAI World Championship, World Cup or World Record must hold. Applicants must apply for their sporting licenses and pay their fees electronically at naa.aero/membership/membership-application. Processing time is five business days.

The NAA is no longer sending out FAI Sporting Licenses as cards in the mail. An approved applicant will receive a confirmation email containing the FAI Sporting License number. Once the applicant receives this number by email, the license is valid.

A jumper must be a U.S. citizen or a resident alien of the U.S. to obtain an FAI Sporting License from the NAA. Non-U.S. jumpers must contact the National Airsport Control organization for their country of residence. Jumpers with questions about the process may contact the NAA at membership@naa.aero or (703) 416-4888.
