The 2017 USPA National Parachuting Championships wrapped up Saturday, September 16, at Skydive Paraclete XP in Raeford, North Carolina. The event included classic accuracy, canopy formation and canopy piloting. Despite a delayed start due to rain, blue skies prevailed the rest of the week, and the meet finished two days ahead of schedule.

In accuracy, Rick Kuhns is the new national champion, and Skydive Rick’s took gold in team accuracy. In canopy formation, Slotswitch won the 2-way open event, and Elsinore Too Wrapped Up took the top spot in both 4-way rotations and sequential. Full accuracy and canopy formation scores appear at OmniSkore.com. In canopy piloting, Nick Batsch is again the overall national champion, and Neil Kuhlman won the overall gold in the advanced class. Full CP scores are available on Control Tower.

Meanwhile, the 2017 USPA National Skydiving Championships are underway beginning Sunday, September 17, at Skydive Perris in California. Wingsuit flying is first on the agenda, followed by vertical and mixed formation skydiving and artistic freeflying and freestyle later this week. The formation skydiving events begin Monday, September 25. A full schedule of events and additional information are available on the Perris website and the Facebook event page. Scores will be available on OmniSkore.com.
