Learfield IMG College, a brand-management firm, hosts an annual evening to recognize success within the company with awards known as “the Clydes” (named for founder Clyde Learfield). This year, Texas State Sports Properties, a part of Learfield IMG and the longtime media-rights holder for Texas State University, won a Clyde for Best Brand Solution due to its work with Skydive Spaceland–San Marcos in Fentress, Texas.

Texas State and Skydive Spaceland–San Marcos created a unique partnership. The skydivers, wearing Texas State football uniforms, starred in a video where they threw passes and tackled opponents in freefall. The Texas State mascot Boko the Bobcat even made an appearance. Texas State featured this video on social media and played it during football games. To top off the promotion, five skydivers delivered the game ball by parachute at two Texas State home games. Texas State Sports Properties accepted its Clyde Award on January 7 during a ceremony at Myerson Symphony Center in Dallas.
