The Women’s Skydiving Network Launches Demo Team

USPA Staff

The Women’s Skydiving Network, an international network of more than 3,000 female skydivers, recently announced the launch of the WSN Pro team, an all-female skydiving demonstration team founded by professional skydivers Amy Chmelecki and Melanie Curtis. The team made its debut at the opening ceremony of the Féderátion Aéronautique Internationale World Cup of Formation Skydiving and Artistic Events on October 7 at Skydive Arizona in Eloy. Six women trailing brightly colored smoke carried five event-inspired flags into the event.

WSN launched the WSN Pro team to help empower women and increase the number of females who skydive. The organization feels that there is a need for more women instructors, role models and mentors and hopes to inspire that growth. “We are beyond thrilled to launch the WSN Pro demonstration team,” Chmelecki said. “This is our opportunity to take the skills we’ve developed in competition and share them with a wider audience. We want women around the world to see that the sky’s the limit in what women can accomplish.”
