USPA Board Meets in Phoenix

The USPA Board of Directors held its third meeting of the 2019-2021 term in Phoenix, Arizona, January 31-February 2. The board welcomed newly seated Central Regional Director Charles Crinklaw and elected Al King to fill the vacant national director seat.

The Board has approved the following changes:

  • Added options to the requirements for the D license. Now a member can choose in lieu of doing night jumps. In addition, verification of night jumps has been added to the PRO rating application.
  • USPA staff has been directed to assemble a list of digital logbooks that comply with USPA requirements.
  • Language was added to the BSRs prohibiting jumping within 8 hours of consuming alcohol. 
  • There have been tweaks to the event schedule for 2020 nationals at Z Hills, which can be found at uspa.org/nationals.
  • A change to the USPA State and National Record fees. To be effective upon the release of the new competition manual.
  • 2021 USPA National Skydiving and Parachuting Championships is awarded to Skydive Arizona.
  • 2021 USPA National Collegiate Skydiving Championships is awarded to Skydive Elsinore.

The board next meets July 10-12 in Nashville, Tennessee.
