USPA Changes Insurance Agency

Reza Garrow

For decades, USPA has provided members with third-party liability insurance. Most skydivers and DZOs recognize USPA’s member insurance as a major benefit, whether jumping at drop zones or making exhibition and demonstration jumps. As a member, if you’re jumping at an established DZ, you’re automatically covered as long as you abide by USPA’s Basic Safety Requirements and the Federal Aviation Regulations. If you are making an exhibition jump, you need to contact USPA’s insurance agent, complete a demo jump application, select the level of coverage and pay an additional premium.

Our current member insurance products were developed specifically for USPA in 2007 by career insurance professional Susan Amey. We’re proud to announce that effective December 1, 2019, the USPA demo and individual membership insurance policies will be provided by Amey and her new employer, the Kimmel Aviation Insurance Agency, Inc., owned by USPA member Frank Kimmel (D-14237). The insurance coverage for individual members and demo jumpers will be provided by the same underwriter and be identical in all respects to the current coverage; same levels of coverage, same premiums. The change is being made to ensure that our members will continue to receive professional advice from a partner who has served the association well for many years.

If you need demo insurance for a jump that will take place on or after December 1, you will need to contact the Kimmel Aviation Insurance Agency, Inc. Here is their contact information:
