The USPA Board of Directors will host its summer meeting July 12-14 in Pennsylvania at the Sofitel Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square. This will be the last meeting of the 2022-2024 term. All USPA members in good standing are invited to attend either in person (the Sofitel is located at 120 South 17th Street in Philadelphia) or remotely. Eastern Regional Director Dave Grabowski is arranging a 3-way scrambles event at Skydive Cross Keys in Williamstown, New Jersey, on Thursday, July 11, prior to the start of the meeting in nearby Philadelphia. The event begins at 9 a.m. Similar to the scrambles event prior to the winter 2024 meeting in Florida, the July event will give USPA members a chance to get to know the board and staff of USPA by flying together on teams.
Interested jumpers, who must hold a USPA A License, should register in advance at bookings.burblesoft.com/index/561/105 and pay the $25 fee (to cover video slots). Those with questions can contact Grabowski at dgrabowski@uspa.org.
Those who can’t make the scrambles event will have a second chance to jump with board members a few days later. They are planning on finishing up meetings early on Saturday, July 13, to be a part of the inaugural World Skydiving Day Record event by making afternoon jumps at Skydive Cross Keys.
