USPA to Host Inaugural International DZO Conference

2026 USPA International DZO Conference

Cohesion and Unity – Bringing DZOs Together from Around the World

In 2024, The USPA Board of Directors approved the creation of an International Drop Zone Operator’s Conference modeled on the popular USPA DZO Conference that has taken place for many years in conjunction with the biennial Parachute Industry Association Symposium in the United States. The USPA DZO Conference covers an array of topics important to drop zone owners, operators and managers, including seminars on DZ management, marketing, DZ operations, safety, staffing, instructor management and more. It also provides opportunities for DZs to network and share ideas and information with their peers and to ask and get answers to some of their most difficult questions. Skydiving business professionals need a place to collaborate, and USPA is proud that the event has met that need and has grown in importance and popularity.

The international conference will be similar while recognizing that drop zone operators around the world have many unique challenges related to the rules and regulations in their countries, as well as cultures and norms in their areas. However, those who operate drop zones share many similarities in their work and personal lives, no matter where it’s located.  Bringing drop zone operators together from around the world is an amazing opportunity for our sport.  There is so much that professionals can learn from each other for the betterment of themselves, their businesses or clubs and the sport in general.

USPA will host the inaugural International DZO Conference in Seville, Spain, on February 24 in conjunction with the 2026 European Skydiving Symposium. The biennial European USPA Examiner Standardization Meetings, which take place over three days, will also occur in the same location and time frame. All DZO Conference attendees will receive a 40% discount on registration for the European Skydiving Symposium.
