Skydive Danielson in Connecticut held its third annual Chicks Freedom Boogie June 30-July 4, which included discounted lift tickets for women. The yearly boogie focuses on getting more women into the sport by welcoming skydivers of all levels to join in on the fun. New England Wrapture, Skydive Danielson’s own canopy formation skydiving team, even offered free intro-to-CF skydives.
The days were hot and humid and full of crazy jumps involving hula hoops and blow-up dolls, not to mention hybrids and (who can forget?) dildo-docking dives! The boogie included helicopter jumps on July 4, and everyone sported American flag apparel, including bikinis. As the sun set, many enjoyed cool dips in the kiddie pools, cold beers and a street-meat cooking contest held by some amazing DZ chefs! This year’s boogie was by far the best, and the organizers are looking forward to even more chicks joining the fun next year.
