National Director Candidate Submissions Open April 18

The USPA Board of Directors is seeking a USPA member to fill a National Director vacancy on the board following the recent resignation of National Director Mike McGowan. USPA will conduct a special election among all members to fill the remainder of McGowan’s term, which extends through 2027. Section 1-3 of the USPA Governance Manual spells out the responsibilities of the USPA Board.

Beginning April 18, USPA is accepting submissions for those who wish to be placed on the ballot. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, be a current USPA member and have at least two years of cumulative USPA membership. To be placed on the ballot, candidates must submit the required election materials and pay the $50 filing fee to USPA Headquarters at uspa.org/election no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, May 15, 2025.

The special election period will run for two weeks only, from July 15 through July 31, 2025

The election winner is expected to attend the USPA Board of Directors Meeting set for September 19-21, 2025, in Arlington, Virginia.
