Veteran Pride

Thank you so much for your article, “Saluting the Heroes of D-Day” (August Parachutist). I come from a long line of military volunteers, as does my wife. Both of our fathers served, as did both of our grandfathers. In addition, all three of our sons are currently serving. But what hit home most for us (my wife and I read the article together) was that she served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne, Air Assault—the Screaming Eagles. This article made her very proud of her service and the legacy of her family and her division. Her one-word response was, “HOOAH!”
