Rigging Innovations and Sun Path to Merge

On February 24, Sun Path Products and Rigging Innovations announced the planned merger of their business operations under the Sun Path Products brand.

Sandy and Brenda Reid founded Rigging Innovations in 1985 in Perris, California. Sandy is best known for the original patent on the articulated harness and the development of the Telesis, Talon, Voodoo, CPX and CURV container systems. He remarked, “My wife and I have no children or family who might be interested in continuing our legacy. We have dedicated our lives to skydiving and we couldn’t think of a better partner with the resources and innovation to take our brand and products forward the way Sun Path can.”

Sun Path and Rigging Innovations customers will not see any immediate changes. While the long-term goal is to move the manufacture of Rigging Innovations products to Sun Path’s facilities in Raeford, North Carolina, the transition will be slow. There will be no changes to dealer networks, ordering procedures, service or support in the near future. Those with questions about the merger may visit bit.ly/RISunPathMerger.
