Nix White took this shot of (left to right) Larry Summerfield, Shawn Tufts and Josh Leasure of the Navy Parachute Team performing a 3-way side-by-side over Skydive San Diego.  USPA staff took five versions of March 2007 Parachutist covers to the Parachute Industry Association symposium in February and had attendees vote for their favorite.  White's photograph garnered the win.

Photographer Norman Kent took this shot of Gene Newsome, a memeber of the Team Fastrax demo team, trailing the American flag as he and his teammates descend next to the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island in New York.  The demonstration jump was organized to promote a Guiness Book record attempt.

Photographer Michael McGowan took this shot of DeLand Fire over Perris Valley Skydiving in California during the 2005 USPA National Skydiving Championships, where they earned the right to represent the U.S. in 4-way at the world championships August 5-11 in Gera, Germany.  With their new cameraman, Jonathan Tagle, they won a hard-earned gold in the meet and are now world champions.  The team in 2005 included Ian Bobo, Natasha Montgomery, Shannon Pilcher, Gary Smith and camera flyer Eric Taylor.
