ISC Hopeful Russia Will Host Mondial in August

On March 29, the International Skydiving Commission President Gillian Rayner released a statement on regarding the 2020 Fédération Aéronautique Internationale World Parachuting Championships Mondial scheduled to be held in Tanay/Kemerovo, Russia, August 10-20, 2021. The event, which was rescheduled from 2020 due to COVID, has been facing uncertainty due to ongoing concerns about the pandemic. The ISC is also awaiting a determination from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regarding Russia’s eligibility to host the event. Though facing many unknowns, the ISC is hopeful that the event will go forward. Rayner’s full statement is available here: https://www.fai.org/news/update-2021-fai-world-parachuting-championships-mondial.
