USPA Board Election Process Begins

On June 1, USPA begins the process of having its members elect its 22-member board of directors for the 2022-2024 term. All USPA members in good standing who have a total of two years of accumulated membership and are at least age 18 on or before August 1 are eligible to run for one of the 14 regional director or eight national director seats. To be on the ballot, all candidates must submit the required election materials—including the Director Candidate Biography form, an acceptable photograph and a non-refundable $50 filing fee—to USPA Headquarters by the close of business August 2. The Director Candidate Biography form, available at uspa.org/election, must be completed and submitted electronically. The voting period runs for one month only, from October 1 through October 31. Section 3-1 of the USPA Governance Manual, which is available for free download at uspa.org, spells out the election process, including all deadlines. Those elected will take their seats at the first 2022 board meeting, February 11-13, at a location to be determined.
