On the weekend of March 17-19, the Joy Riders (Domitille Kiger, Louise Kristensen, Anna Moxnes and Sharon Har-Noy Pilcher) brought 26 lady skydivers together at Skydive DeLand in Florida with the goal to set a women’s state record, as well as keep the Project19 mission—to inspire a new generation of female skydivers by setting records in honor of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution—alive.

Due to a wealth of talent among the skydivers, the pilots (Charlie Kenlin and Phill Marrs) and the camera flyers (Cameron Haley and Roberto Hernandez), 22 women broke the Florida Women’s Record for Largest Head-Down Formation on their second official attempt. After that, despite long holds for weather conditions, the group kept up its motivation and went on to set two Florida sequential records—a 2-point 13-way general state record and 2-point 6-way female state record. A handful of these ladies, who trained alongside the Project19 events, were able to set their first records during the event.
